Remko
van Roekel

Remko van Roekel co-founded the Local Group with Harold Pothoven in 2010. He is a board member of Local Corporate Solutions and Local Bookkeeping.

Focus

Remko oversees Local Bookkeeping’s activities. You can contact him with any matters regarding the group’s solutions. As a board member, he is also responsible for the strategic direction of Local Corporate Solutions and Local Bookkeeping.

Education

He holds an Executive MBA in general management specializing in entrepreneurship from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Additionally, Remko has a Master’s degree in Economics and a Master’s in Tax Law from the University of Amsterdam, along with a bachelor’s in Auditing from the HES Amsterdam School of Business.

Experience

Remko draws on his extensive experience in international tax law and entrepreneurship. He has held directorships at various companies, from privately owned vehicles to large, cross-border quoted companies.
He began his professional career with KPMG in the Netherlands in 1997 and EY. Later, he joined Citco, where he held positions in various countries.
